Alterna énergie is a supplier and producer of green, local, and low-carbon energy. It focuses on providing locally produced green electricity, sourcing from over 330 renewable energy production farms. Alterna was formed by the collaboration of more than 50 local energy companies (ELEs) across France, some of which have been operating for nearly a century, contributing to the electrification of rural areas and the development of renewable energies. The company aims to promote energy transition, valorize local territories, and encourage reasoned consumption through a short-circuit energy model. Alterna also commits to reducing carbon emissions by conducting carbon assessments and implementing reduction measures, and its 100% local green electricity offer is certified 'VertVolt' by ADEME.
