ATOBA is a pivotal entity dedicated to accelerating the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) by addressing the critical financial disconnect between airlines and emerging SAF technology producers. The company recognizes the urgent need for SAF production to scale dramatically, from 300 kilotonnes in 2023 to an estimated 400 million tonnes annually by 2050, necessitating the rapid deployment of all technically, environmentally, and economically viable solutions.

The current SAF market faces significant challenges in achieving this expansion. Producers require long-term, stable pricing contracts to amortize substantial investments, while airlines demand assurance of optimal market prices benchmarked against indices, alongside mitigated technology and execution risks. This fundamental conflict often hinders the financing and construction of new SAF production projects. ATOBA uniquely resolves this dilemma by offering long-term offtake agreements to producers, based on index pricing tailored to their specific technology, thereby enabling them to reach Final Investment Decision (FID). Simultaneously, it secures airlines' competitiveness through long-term, market-aligned SAF index pricing that evolves with industry maturation and scaling.

ATOBA ensures SAF supply security by cultivating a diverse portfolio of offtake agreements spanning a wide range of technologies, feedstocks, and geographical regions. The company supports various SAF production pathways, including eSAF/Power-to-Liquid (PTL) from clean electricity and captured CO2, Alcohol-to-Jet (ATJ) from agricultural feedstocks like corn and sugarcane, Gas-to-Liquid Fischer-Tropsch (Gas-FT) converting waste into syngas, and Hydroprocessed Esters and Fatty Acids (HEFA) from vegetable oils and waste fats. This comprehensive approach ensures that the most appropriate technical, economic, and environmental solutions are deployed globally, fostering collaborative partnerships across the entire value chain to achieve net-zero aviation goals by 2050.
