BIOVEA Energie is a pioneering Ivorian company focused on the comprehensive development, financing, construction, and long-term operation of a biomass power plant in Côte d'Ivoire. This ambitious project aims to establish the largest biomass facility in West Africa and the first of its kind in the nation. Located in Ayebo, within the Aboisso commune, approximately 100km east of Abidjan, the plant is designed to produce 336 GWh of electricity annually, a volume equivalent to the yearly consumption of 1.7 million Ivorian inhabitants.

The power plant features two distinct units, each with a capacity of 23MW, culminating in a total installed capacity of 46MW. Its sustainable operation is powered by palm oil residues, aligning with principles of a green and circular economy. This method not only generates renewable electricity but also valorizes agricultural waste, thereby mitigating deforestation and minimizing the overall environmental footprint of energy production.
