The Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA) serves as the national, non-profit sector association representing Canada's vibrant hydrogen ecosystem. Encompassing nearly 200 organizations, from academic institutions and municipalities to pioneering startups and multinational corporations, the CHA plays a pivotal role in advancing the country's clean energy transition. Its primary focus is to champion the Canadian hydrogen sector and accelerate the adoption of its members' innovative products and services across Canada and globally.

Working in close collaboration with its diverse membership and provincial affiliates in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario, the CHA actively supports and expands the Canadian hydrogen industry. This is achieved through comprehensive advocacy, strategic communications, targeted government relations, facilitated networking opportunities, and public awareness initiatives. The association is dedicated to advancing the role of hydrogen and hydrogen technology solutions to help Canada achieve its net-zero carbon emissions target by 2050.

The CHA provides invaluable resources to its members, including an education centre, sector publications, and a Canadian hydrogen production database. It fosters a dynamic community by organizing numerous events and trade missions, enabling members to connect with policymakers, industry leaders, and research innovators. By influencing decision-making and promoting meaningful policies, the CHA aims to mitigate barriers to hydrogen and fuel cell applications, ensuring Canada's position as a global leader in the hydrogen economy.
