The Connecticut Roundtable on Climate and Jobs (CRCJ) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering alliances across diverse constituencies to address climate change, create employment opportunities, and advance racial, economic, and environmental justice. Since its establishment in 2012, CRCJ has focused on building a worker-oriented environmental movement committed to a fair and just transition, safeguarding both the environment and the livelihoods of workers and their communities.

Central to CRCJ's mission is the belief that the climate crisis presents a significant opportunity to develop thriving local economies that are not only sustainable but also more equitable. The organization achieves its objectives by engaging in collective action, advocating for substantive policies that protect the climate, and promoting the creation of high-quality local jobs. This involves collaborating with labor unions, environmental groups, social justice organizations, and religious institutions to drive Connecticut's transition towards a low-carbon economy.

CRCJ spearheads various campaigns and initiatives to realize its vision, including EmpowerEd for environmental justice education, advocating for the Connecticut Green Economy Act (HB 5004), promoting Carbon Free and Healthy Schools, advancing Transportation Equity, supporting New England Offshore Wind development, and engaging in Labor and Workforce Development. Through these programs, CRCJ actively works to integrate justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion principles into climate adaptation planning, striving for a resilient and climate-safe Connecticut.
