The Offshore Wind Energy Association (DÜRED) was established on March 5, 2021, with the primary objective of fostering the investment and development of offshore wind power plants in Türkiye. It aims to integrate the maritime and energy sectors, while also coordinating collaborations among key stakeholders in the burgeoning offshore wind industry.

As a central association, DÜRED is committed to activating and advancing civil society initiatives related to offshore wind energy, providing crucial support to individuals and organizations actively involved in this domain. A significant aspect of its strategy involves engaging public institutions and universities to enhance awareness and foster a robust ecosystem for offshore wind development.

Furthermore, DÜRED focuses on identifying and articulating Türkiye's vast potential in offshore wind energy resources, working diligently to facilitate their utilization. The association plays an instrumental role in shaping the regulatory landscape, contributing to the formulation of relevant legislation, and offering expert input into tender processes and the preparation of detailed tender specifications, thereby guiding the country's trajectory towards sustainable marine energy.
