EDAMA, which means "sustainability" in Arabic, is a Jordanian NGO established in 2009. Operating as a business association, EDAMA is dedicated to fostering an environment where innovative solutions for energy and water independence and environmental conservation can thrive within Jordan. The organization plays a crucial role in advancing Jordan’s transition towards a green economy by serving as a robust knowledge hub and a platform for multi-stakeholder dialogue. It mobilizes public, private, and NGO sector representatives to discuss and shape the future development of the Energy, Water, and Environment (EWE) sectors in Jordan. Through its initiatives, EDAMA aims to maximize business viability and potential, thereby enabling the growth and maturation of a resilient private sector that leads in securing Jordan’s energy and water independence and conserving its environment. EDAMA also facilitates capacity-building efforts and hosts workshops to discuss new regulations, such as the electricity law, and publishes resources in its e-library, contributing significantly to policy and industry development.
