Operating as a Balance Responsible Party (BRP) on the TenneT imbalance market, Edmij is also a recognized Balancing Service Provider (BSP) and Congestion Service Provider (CSP), delivering essential balancing and congestion management services to national grid operators. The company ensures complete transparency by applying EPEX hourly prices for traded volumes and TenneT quarter-hourly prices for imbalance volumes. This approach allows clients to precisely track imbalance costs and directly benefit from sophisticated, intelligent control strategies that leverage their flexibility.

Their service portfolio extends beyond core supply and aggregation to include the provision of an emergency power pool, advanced battery management, and participation in frequency containment reserve (FCR) and automatic frequency restoration reserve (aFRR) markets. The business model involves a fixed MWh fee for software and services, complemented by a share in the additional revenues generated through smart management and the utilization of client flexibility, such as curtailment and demand response.
