These applications encompass maritime shipping, construction, aviation, yachting, motorsport, road freight transport, and innovative solutions for renewable energy storage.

Supported by over 50 medium-sized German companies and key technology providers such as Chemieanlagenbau Chemnitz GmbH (CAC), the eFuels Forum collaborates with leading academic and research institutions, including the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg), to deliver expert-backed information. The forum emphasizes that eFuels, being chemically similar to fossil fuels, can be seamlessly integrated into existing infrastructure and current combustion engine vehicles without requiring significant modifications. This facilitates an accessible and immediate transition to a lower-carbon mobility and heating future, substantially reducing new CO2 emissions.
