Energiföretagen Sverige, also known as Swedenergy, is a leading trade association dedicated to uniting and representing nearly 500 energy companies across Sweden. These member companies are actively involved in the production, distribution, trading, and storage of electricity, heat, and cooling, collectively ensuring a continuous and reliable energy supply to households, businesses, and society at large, every second of the year.

The association plays a crucial role in shaping a long-term sustainable society by driving transformative change within the energy sector. It collaborates extensively with politicians, governmental authorities, customer organizations, and other key stakeholders to foster an environment of fair business conditions. Energiföretagen Sverige actively contributes its expertise to develop economically, ecologically, and socially sustainable energy systems. This includes comprehensive work on the electricity grid, where it oversees the ElnätsBranschens Riktlinjer (EBR – Electricity Grid Industry's Guidelines) to promote safe and cost-effective management and development of national electricity networks. Furthermore, the organization provides essential energy facts, statistics, and guidance on various aspects of the energy market, from electricity production (hydropower, nuclear, wind, solar, combined heat and power) and grid regulation to market dynamics, customer costs, and the development of district heating and cooling. It also addresses critical issues such as e-mobility, hydrogen, and flexibility within the energy system.
