The Energy Modelling Hub (EMH), also known as Carrefour de modélisation énergétique (CME), is a pan-Canadian boundary organization established to guide Canada's unprecedented energy transition towards climate objectives. It aims to reduce uncertainties by generating robust evidence to inform policy design and decision-making processes across the nation. The Hub serves as a crucial link, supporting Canada's energy modelling community and fostering strong collaborative ties with policymakers and other energy model users in both the public and private sectors.

EMH is dedicated to enhancing accessibility to energy models and modellers throughout Canada, complemented by open and FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) data sets. It actively contributes to the development of independent modelling capacity, builds relationships with various governmental levels, and provides essential resources to facilitate collaboration in modelling and carbon neutrality analysis. The organization offers a comprehensive suite of services, including expert model support and maintenance, specialized modelling services, and platforms for community gathering and consultation. Furthermore, EMH prioritizes capacity building and training initiatives, promoting knowledge transfer and skill development among modellers, policymakers, and stakeholders to bridge the gap between data and policy.

Through its offerings, which encompass an inventory of models and experts, open-access tools, and a comprehensive documentation center, the Energy Modelling Hub equips industry professionals, researchers, and decision-makers with the necessary resources.
