Introduction to Enerzjyk Eastermar Enerzjyk Eastermar is a dedicated village cooperative, established by and for the residents of Eastermar and It Heechsân. Its primary focus is on enhancing the sustainability, well-being, and social cohesion of these picturesque Dutch villages and their surrounding natural environment. The cooperative operates across four interconnected themes: energy transition, health, nature, and social connection, embodying a strong commitment to community-driven initiatives.

Advancing Energy Transition and Community Initiatives Central to Enerzjyk Eastermar's mission is the active promotion of the energy transition within its community. The cooperative empowers residents to participate in the Postcoderoosregeling, a national scheme that facilitates collective investment in local renewable energy projects, particularly solar power. Furthermore, it organizes advantageous collective energy purchasing and offers discounted solar panel acquisition, making sustainable energy solutions accessible and affordable for its members. The cooperative also provides practical support through energy scans and a "Fixteam" to help residents reduce energy consumption.

Fostering Health, Nature, and Social Connection Beyond energy, Enerzjyk Eastermar cultivates a holistic approach to village development. Its "Itersbosk & -tún" (food forest and garden) initiative promotes local food production and sustainable ecological practices, strengthening the connection between residents and their natural surroundings. The cooperative also supports the "Mienskipshûs de KJELLINGEN," a vibrant community center managed by local volunteers, providing an inclusive space for social interaction, activities, and mutual support. In the realm of health, Enerzjyk Eastermar aims to establish a "bloeizone" (blooming zone) to encourage healthier lifestyles and combat chronic diseases, ensuring a vibrant and healthy future for all villagers.

Cooperative Values and Future Vision Composed of a passionate group of volunteers, Enerzjyk Eastermar is guided by principles of sustainability, circularity, and the cooperative ethos: "members work together to achieve more than each could individually." By acting as a local advocate for diverse sustainability efforts and fostering strong social bonds, the cooperative strives to create a prosperous village with a healthy, natural environment where its residents can lead fulfilling lives for generations to come.
