FORTE Vannkraft AS is an industrial developer, builder, and owner of small-scale hydropower plants in Norway. The company specializes in creating local value through close collaboration with landowners and water rights owners, developing and operating efficient hydropower facilities.

Forte Vannkraft distinguishes itself by its strong execution capability, ensuring swift project realization from securing rights to commencing construction, while prioritizing minimal environmental impact. The company provides comprehensive services encompassing the entire lifecycle of small-scale hydropower, from development and construction to effective operation and maintenance. A core expertise lies in environmentally friendly, directional rock drilling for water tunnels, executed through its operating company Norhard, allowing for the development of complex projects with precise and sensitive routing.

Advocating for the "private homefall" model, Forte Vannkraft promotes long-term partnerships where hydropower plants revert to the landowner after the lease period, fostering sustained local ownership and intergenerational value creation. Currently, Forte Vannkraft has 20 power plants in operation and an additional 15 under construction, representing an investment of 2 billion NOK in local communities and contributing 470 GWh in annual renewable energy production.
