Their core offering, the H2Top Power Management and Control Architecture, is specifically engineered to connect electrolysers with renewable power sources, optimizing output even from fluctuating energy inputs like solar. This proprietary technology enables electrolysers to accept variable DC input, facilitating co-location with low-cost solar energy sources.

HyWaves' solution is designed to increase locally produced hydrogen by simplifying the power electronics infrastructure and enhancing electrolysers for increased green hydrogen production. The technology offers significant economic and operational benefits, including a 5% improvement in efficiency and a 19% reduction in the Levelized Cost Of Hydrogen (LCOH) compared to current state-of-the-art solutions. It minimizes power conversion losses, resulting in improved overall system efficiency, and can cut capital expenditure by up to 15% while reducing operating costs by up to 20%.

HyWaves is actively demonstrating its capabilities through pilot projects, such as the 50kW solar array integrated with 30kW alkaline and 20kW PEM electrolysers at Cranfield University, and a 38kW solar array coupled with a PEM electrolyser and HyWaves Battery Technology at the University of South Wales. These initiatives underscore the company's commitment to delivering reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable green hydrogen production solutions for the energy industry.
