Koloğlu Holding, established by the Koloğlu family, commenced its journey in Elazığ with the founding of Kolsan in 1976, followed by Kolin İnşaat in 1977. Initially, Kolin İnşaat focused on transportation and infrastructure construction, achieving significant national and international success. This success and the evolving organizational capabilities led the family to diversify its interests into a broader range of activities.

By 2015, recognizing the substantial growth and extensive diversification of Kolin İnşaat's operations, a strategic decision was made to transform into a formal corporate holding structure. Koloğlu Holding A.Ş. was thus established to consolidate these diverse ventures under a unified management framework, providing essential managerial and financial support to its constituent companies operating at both national and global levels.

Today, Koloğlu Holding boasts a comprehensive portfolio spanning numerous critical sectors. Its operations include energy production, encompassing hydroelectric and thermal power plants, as well as energy distribution and trade for electricity and natural gas. The Holding is also active in mining, port and marina operations, shipyard management, station operations, industrial production, logistics, service provision, and general trade. This extensive involvement highlights its pivotal role in infrastructure development and industrial output.

The Holding is deeply committed to sustainable development, conducting its activities with a strong awareness of its environmental and social responsibilities. It prioritizes investment in human resources and aligns its operations with principles of social responsibility, with many of its community-focused initiatives channeled through the Koloğlu Education Foundation.
