About Nova Energia Scientific Circle

The Nova Energia Scientific Circle is an active academic organization operating under the Faculty of Energy and Fuels at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland. It serves as a hub for enthusiastic students dedicated to advancing their understanding of the broad spectrum of energy, including critical issues related to energy transformation and the development of essential professional skills vital for careers within this dynamic industry. The circle fosters an environment where members can actively engage with the latest developments and challenges in the energy sector.

Members of the Nova Energia Scientific Circle regularly participate in a variety of industry events, including conferences, seminars, and specialized training programs. Through these opportunities, students gain invaluable practical experience, cultivate extensive professional networks, and significantly broaden their academic and career horizons. The circle is renowned for organizing its annual flagship event, the "New Energy Day" Student Conference, which brings together students and experts to discuss innovative solutions and future trends in energy.

Beyond conferences, the circle actively undertakes numerous engineering projects, offering members hands-on experience in applying theoretical knowledge. Notable completed projects include the design and construction of a functional photovoltaic bench, which is proudly displayed at the AGH Energy Centre, and the innovative "Zephyr AGH" air-powered racing vehicle. A distinctive strength of SKN Nova Energia lies in its holistic perspective on energy, which meticulously integrates economic, engineering, political, legislative, and environmental considerations. This comprehensive approach empowers members with a profound understanding of contemporary energy challenges, enabling them to devise and implement effective, sustainable solutions. The circle is guided by Professor Tadeusz Olkuski from the Department of Sustainable Energy Development at the Faculty of Energy and Fuels, AGH.
