KTH Innovation is dedicated to assisting researchers and students at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in commercializing their groundbreaking research results and business ideas. As specialists in new technology commercialization, the organization provides comprehensive, free-of-charge, unbiased, and confidential support throughout the early phases of idea development and verification. Their core mission is to help innovators navigate the complex journey from a scientific concept to a viable market product or service, without taking any share or ownership in the supported projects, ensuring that the idea owners' interests remain paramount.

Since its establishment in 2007, KTH Innovation has developed a world-class innovation support system, accessible to all KTH students and researchers. They excel in fostering ideas rooted in advanced, research-based technology, often referred to as deeptech, by combining creative problem-solving with structured development processes. Their support encompasses everything from business development coaching and intellectual property guidance to team building and access to funding opportunities, alongside various specialized programs like Pioneer, Launch, and Discovery.

Recognized by the Financial Times as one of Europe's leading startup hubs, KTH Innovation plays a significant role in the global innovation ecosystem, particularly within Europe. Annually, they engage with over 400 teams, with approximately 30% focusing on deeptech. Demonstrating a strong commitment to societal impact, over 85% of supported teams aim to contribute to sustainable development. The organization has successfully facilitated the launch of over 475 companies, which have collectively secured more than 8 billion SEK in funding. Additionally, KTH Innovation actively promotes diversity, with 40% of supported teams including at least one female co-founder. Their physical hub at Teknikringen 1 on KTH Campus offers open workspaces, a makerspace, production studio, and co-working facilities, fostering a vibrant community for innovation.
