The Lebanese Solar Energy Society (LSES) is a prominent Lebanese Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established in 1980, dedicated to advancing the adoption and understanding of solar and renewable energy across Lebanon. Through its extensive network of members, comprising both professional experts and academic researchers, LSES actively promotes sustainable energy solutions and fosters innovation within the sector.

LSES provides valuable resources such as the PV Tool Software, available in both Excel and web versions, which empowers users to design optimal solar PV solutions efficiently. The organization regularly hosts and participates in significant events like the Lebanese Solar International Week (LISW) and annual engineering student contests focused on renewable energy projects, encouraging the next generation of innovators.

Beyond advocacy and education, LSES engages in a diverse range of activities and projects, including the CERES Project and the EcoTruck initiative, demonstrating practical applications of renewable energy. They offer specialized training programs, such as solar water pumping training in collaboration with partners like Oxfam Lebanon, and contribute to humanitarian efforts by supplying portable solar power packs to communities in need. Furthermore, LSES serves as a hub for knowledge dissemination, publishing research and reports to inform the public and industry professionals on the latest developments in renewable energy.
