Nexus for Development: Financing Climate Action and Empowering Communities

Nexus for Development is an international non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the profound and uneven impact of climate change on marginalized communities within developing economies, particularly across Asia. The organization is committed to combating this pressing issue by funding a wide array of eco-friendly initiatives, including carbon offset projects. These initiatives are designed to enhance access to crucial resources such as clean water, reliable energy, and efficient waste management solutions for the communities they serve.

With over a decade of specialized expertise in carbon markets and impact investing, Nexus for Development forges strategic financial collaborations that not only contribute significantly to environmental sustainability but also empower local communities. The organization offers comprehensive services including Carbon Finance, which guides businesses in purchasing voluntary carbon credits and navigating complex carbon markets; Impact Investing, providing experienced fund management for strategic climate funding allocation; and Project Financing, which explores tailored funding avenues for climate enterprises and low-carbon initiatives to achieve scalable success. These services collectively enable stakeholders to drive tangible positive change and accelerate progress towards a cleaner, greener future.

Since its inception in 2009, Nexus for Development has demonstrated a robust commitment to its mission. The organization has successfully unlocked over $25 million to finance 43 projects across Asia, impacting more than 10 million people. Its efforts have led to the avoidance of over 6.5 million tonnes of harmful CO2, the production of more than 300 million kWh of clean energy, and the provision of over 15 million cubic meters of clean water. Through these impactful endeavors, Nexus for Development strives to deliver a sustainable and equitable future for all.
