The Northwest Xcelerator (NWX) is a dedicated climate tech business accelerator specifically designed for entrepreneurs originating from Black and underserved communities. Operating within the Portland Metro area, NWX aims to foster the development of innovative climate solutions, stimulate socio-economic growth, and facilitate the creation of healthy, safe, smart, and sustainable communities. Recognizing climate change as a critical threat, particularly its disproportionate impact on Black communities exacerbated by environmental racism, NWX is committed to addressing these vulnerabilities.
The organization actively supports Black and underserved entrepreneurs in pioneering advanced solutions within the climate technology sector. This commitment includes a strategic focus on increasing the overall growth of businesses in this vital domain that are owned by members of these communities.
