The Electrical Contractors’ Association of Ottawa (ECA Ottawa) is a not-for-profit organization that serves as the authoritative voice for the electrical industry within the greater Ottawa area, specifically representing unionized electrical contractors. As one of 11 area associations under the umbrella of the Electrical Contractors’ Association of Ontario (ECAO), ECA Ottawa actively advocates for its members on critical industry issues.

This advocacy includes lobbying on electrical contracting legislation, health and safety policies, and broader construction legislation to safeguard and advance the best interests of its membership. The association is dedicated to fostering improved construction practices and enhancing the development and administration of education and training programs, alongside providing valuable member benefits, driving industry-wide improvements, and promoting community involvement.

ECA Ottawa also facilitates apprenticeship programs, offers innovative and up-to-date industry-specific training, and organizes engaging events for peer networking and professional development. Furthermore, it provides resources such as a contractor search tool for the public and essential information on prompt payment initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to a robust and fair electrical contracting environment.
