PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero), commonly known as PT PII, is an Indonesian State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) operating under the Ministry of Finance. Established on December 30, 2009, its core mandate is to address the escalating demand for infrastructure development across Indonesia, particularly in the context of government budget limitations, by attracting private investment and participation. As a Special Mission Vehicle (SMV) of the Ministry of Finance, PT PII plays a pivotal role in driving sustainable infrastructure growth through innovative financing mechanisms.

The company's primary service involves providing government guarantees for infrastructure projects, predominantly those structured under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme. These guarantees are crucial for mitigating political risks associated with central and local government contracting agencies, thereby offering essential certainty and comfort to private investors. This strategic approach significantly enhances the willingness of the private sector to participate in and finance vital infrastructure initiatives throughout Indonesia.

Beyond its guarantee function, PT PII offers comprehensive support including transaction assistance, project preparation, and capacity building tailored for PPP projects. The company also extends its guarantee services to State-Owned Enterprises through direct lending schemes and provides financing guarantees for specific assignments. To further bolster its capabilities, PT PII actively collaborates with international and multilateral institutions, enabling it to undertake large-scale infrastructure projects.

With a portfolio encompassing 55 guaranteed projects, PT PII has facilitated a total investment value of Rp 573 Trillion and provided guarantees amounting to Rp 112 Trillion. Its project involvement spans critical sectors such as transportation infrastructure, including major toll roads like Bogor-Serpong and Kediri-Tulungagung, flyovers such as Panorama 1 Sitinjau Lauik, and essential public utilities like street lighting programs in Lombok Barat. Furthermore, PT PII operates the IIGF Institute, a dedicated knowledge management unit aspiring to be the Center of Excellence for Public Private Partnership in Indonesia, fostering a more robust and efficient infrastructure development ecosystem.
