PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero), also known as PT SMI, operates as a Special Mission Vehicle (SMV) under the coordination of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. Established in 2009, this State-Owned Enterprise is dedicated to accelerating and equitably distributing sustainable infrastructure development across Indonesia. PT SMI acts as a catalyst, focusing on optimizing economic and social benefits for communities, supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and mitigating climate change impacts.

The company provides innovative, unique, and flexible financing products and services through three core business pillars: Corporate Financing, Public Financing, and Advisory & Project Development. Corporate Financing offers facilities for infrastructure projects owned by private parties and State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). Public Financing extends alternative financing to Regional Governments (Pemda), Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD), Public Service Agencies (BLU), and other public sector entities to foster regional development.

As a Development Finance Institution (DFI), PT SMI also delivers comprehensive advisory and project development services to support national development initiatives. Its extensive portfolio includes critical infrastructure projects such as roads, toll roads, hospitals, markets, bus rapid transit systems, fiber optic networks, and facilities for clean water and natural gas access. Notably, PT SMI has contributed significantly to the energy sector, facilitating the addition of 2,530 MW of electric power capacity and providing electricity access to millions of homes, alongside developing telecommunication towers. The company plays a crucial role in supporting Public-Private Partnership (PPP) schemes, driving impactful development across various sectors.
