Sun-Ways is at the forefront of revolutionizing electricity production from solar energy within the rail sector, pioneering an innovative ferrovoltaic solution. The company has developed and patented a unique technology that enables the installation of removable solar power plants directly between railway tracks. This groundbreaking approach allows for significant renewable energy generation without requiring additional land use or creating visual impact on the landscape.

The system is meticulously designed to meet the stringent technical and safety standards of the railway industry, developed in close collaboration with key sector stakeholders. Its modular and reversible nature ensures easy installation and removal, either partially or entirely, without affecting the existing rail infrastructure. This flexibility is crucial for operational and maintenance efficiency in demanding railway environments.

Sun-Ways' technology is engineered for high performance, with prototypes capable of withstanding high-speed train passages up to 150 km/h. A single kilometer of installed panels can produce approximately 200 MWh annually, equivalent to the consumption of 60 households, utilizing 450W panels. Furthermore, specialized trains can install up to 1000 m² of solar panels per day, demonstrating the scalability and efficiency of the deployment process. Ultimately, this system is poised to directly power railway traction networks, paving the way for an integrated energy Smart Hub within the transportation infrastructure.
