The World Energy Council (WEC) - Dominican Republic Section, also known as Consejo Mundial de Energía - República Dominicana, serves as the national chapter of the renowned global World Energy Council. The international organization has dedicated nearly a century to leading the global energy debate, providing strategic guidance, and fostering action worldwide to ensure universal access to sustainable and affordable energy solutions. As an impartial network, WEC holds accreditation from the UN and represents a vast consortium of over 3,000 public and private organizations across nearly 100 countries.

Consistent with its global mission, the Dominican Republic section actively contributes to informing and guiding energy sector strategies at international, national, and regional levels.
