Archer Wind, operating as a key division within Archer, is a specialized technology, product, and solutions provider focused exclusively on the Floating Offshore Wind industry. Formerly known as Moreld Ocean Wind before its acquisition by Archer in July 2024, the company was established with the specific objective of executing large-scale, complex offshore wind projects, contributing significantly to the global energy transition.

The company's core approach is to drive the industrialization of the floating offshore wind sector. This is achieved by delivering highly efficient and cost-effective engineering, fabrication, and assembly services for offshore floating wind foundations. Archer Wind is actively engaged in studies, front-end projects, and comprehensive engineering contracts for some of the world’s leading energy corporations, and has secured positions as a preferred supplier for various wind farm developers and consortiums.

Their comprehensive service offerings span the full project lifecycle, including EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) delivery of floating wind foundations, Owner’s Engineer services, and detailed EPCI Feasibility, Pre-FEED, and FEED studies. Additionally, Archer Wind provides critical support through EPCI schedule and CAPEX estimates, alongside carbon footprint analyses for wind farm developments, aiming to accelerate floating offshore wind deployment internationally. The team, comprising approximately 50 experienced professionals from 11 different nationalities, operates from offices in Stavanger, Bergen, and Oslo, Norway. The company also holds a strategic investment in Ocergy, leveraging their OCG-Wind steel semi-sub floater design to further enhance its capabilities in the sector.
