CG Semi Private Limited is a strategic joint venture formed through a collaboration between CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, Renesas Electronics Corporation, and Stars Microelectronics (Thailand) Public Co. Ltd. Specializing in Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Testing (OSAT) services, the company offers comprehensive test services on a global scale. CG Semi is establishing a state-of-the-art OSAT manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat, India, spanning 28 acres with a significant investment of ₹7600 crores (approximately USD 964 million) over the next five years.

This facility is poised to revolutionize the manufacturing landscape with a diverse product lineup, including traditional packages such as QFN, QFP, SOIC, TSSOP, and SOP, as well as advanced packages like FC BGA, FC CSP, and FC QFN. The company's operations are designed to support critical sectors, including Automotive, Consumer Electronics, Industrial Manufacturing, IoT, Infrastructure, and 5G technologies. The new facility is projected to achieve an installed capacity of up to 4.7 billion units annually.

Leveraging the combined expertise of its partners—CG Power's decades of manufacturing expertise and robust market presence, Renesas's pioneering semiconductor technology and innovation across various applications, and Stars Microelectronics' specialized experience in OSAT for legacy packages—CG Semi aims to enhance India's semiconductor capabilities.
