Clean Energy Economy MN (CEEM) serves as the leading business voice for energy efficiency and clean energy within Minnesota. As an industry-led, nonprofit organization, CEEM is dedicated to educating Minnesotans and policymakers about the substantial economic opportunities presented by clean, reliable, and affordable energy. The organization actively promotes the business case for clean energy to foster innovation and expand market opportunities across the state.

CEEM's core activities involve developing and advocating for public policies that encourage the growth of clean energy jobs and bolster Minnesota's economy. They collaborate with policymakers at all levels and regulatory agencies to enact consistent policies that support the growth of their member businesses. Their diverse membership includes over 40 energy efficiency and clean energy companies, ranging from startups to Fortune 500 corporations, all passionate about advancing renewable energy technologies such as wind, solar, biomass, energy-efficient HVAC, advanced building materials, energy storage, smart grids, clean fuels, and advanced transportation solutions.

Through strategic policy work, regulatory engagement, and public education, CEEM aims to diversify and strengthen Minnesota’s economy by advancing clean energy innovation. They also produce influential reports like the "Clean Jobs Midwest" and the "Minnesota Energy Factsheet," which highlight job creation, economic impact, and progress in the state's clean energy transition, demonstrating Minnesota's leadership in reducing emissions and increasing energy independence.
