COMBATT S.A. is a non-profit organization operating as an Integrated Collective System for the Alternative Management of Batteries across Greece. Authorized by the Hellenic Recycling Agency, it specializes in handling waste batteries including lead-acid (Pb), nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd), nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH), and lithium-ion (Li-Ion) types, originating from both vehicle and industrial applications.

The company's core function involves organizing, coordinating, and overseeing all stages of waste battery management. This comprehensive process encompasses collection, transportation, temporary storage, treatment, and recycling, all conducted in strict adherence to European and Greek environmental legislation.

COMBATT S.A. strategically aims to cultivate a robust network of collaborations with licensed battery collectors and recyclers, ensuring efficient national coverage. It is dedicated to developing and implementing processes that facilitate waste battery management in the most environmentally optimal manner. Furthermore, the organization plays a crucial role in meticulously recording and monitoring quantitative data related to collection and recycling efforts nationwide.

Beyond its operational duties, COMBATT S.A. is committed to informing and raising awareness among all stakeholders regarding the proper management of waste batteries, thereby striving to increase overall rates of correct collection and recycling. The company holds certifications including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018, underscoring its commitment to quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety. As a member of the European Association of Collective Systems for Waste Batteries Management, it manages over 230,000 tons of waste batteries through more than 70 licensed partners across Greece.
