The company's technology yields a range of carbon-negative bulk chemicals (C3, C4, C6, C8, C12) and low-carbon fuels such as ethanol, butanol, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Furthermore, Gasgene addresses global food security challenges by producing novel proteins, specifically single-cell protein for animal feed, cultivated in industrial bioreactors. This reduces reliance on traditional agricultural methods and imported feed, contributing to a more sustainable food supply chain.

As a spin-out from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Gasgene benefits from 15 years of intensive laboratory research, resulting in a robust and advanced modular engineering platform for gas fermentation. The company operates a global leading pilot plant for the one-step synthesis of C4 chemicals from industrial one-carbon off-gas, showcasing its capability in carbon capture and utilization (CCU).
