Its current operational footprint includes four major generation plants with an installed capacity surpassing 1,067 MW. These facilities comprise the Nueva Renca combined-cycle plant (379 MW) in the Metropolitan Region, the Los Vientos open-cycle plant (132 MW) in the Valparaíso Region, and the Santa Lidia plant (132 MW) located in the Biobío Region. A cornerstone of its renewable energy strategy is CEME1, Chile's largest solar photovoltaic plant with 480 MW capacity, recently inaugurated in the Antofagasta Region.

Demonstrating a strong commitment to the transition towards a sustainable energy matrix, Generadora Metropolitana holds approvals for an additional 1,000 MW in renewable projects, including the significant Sol del Loa (800 MW) and La Pampina (200 MW) solar photovoltaic developments, both situated in the Antofagasta Region. Expanding its capabilities, the company is also actively constructing Dune Plus, a large-scale energy storage project, and has secured a landmark agreement with Codelco for a 100% renewable and dispatchable energy supply, integrating advanced Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
