The organization leverages the expertise and knowledge of the U.S. national laboratory network to assist in the planning and deployment of clean fleets and advanced transportation technologies.

Its initiatives encompass a range of impactful projects designed to transform Michigan's transportation landscape. Notable examples include the "Affordable Mobility Platform," which deploys electric vehicle car-sharing programs in multi-family housing communities, and the "Clear the Air for School Kids" program, focusing on clean school buses and idle reduction efforts with school districts. Additionally, the EMPOWER project extends its reach nationwide, with Michigan-based activities led by MICC.
