If a protected species' speed and flight path indicate a high risk of collision, a signal is automatically generated to curtail or shut down the specific wind turbine involved. This highly targeted, informed, and objective approach empowers wind farm operators to make precise curtailment decisions, preventing unnecessary and costly interruptions to energy production while significantly enhancing the conservation of protected avian species.
