The Illinois Solar Energy Association (ISEA) is a prominent non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the widespread adoption of renewable energy throughout Illinois through robust education and advocacy initiatives. Operating as two distinct yet collaborative entities—the Illinois Solar Energy & Storage Association (a 501(c)(6) trade organization) and the Illinois Solar Education Association (a 501(c)(3) non-profit and a chapter of the American Solar Energy Society, ASES)—ISEA serves as the state's primary resource for renewable energy policy developments, educational programs, industry events, and access to local renewable energy businesses.

Established in 1975, ISEA has evolved significantly, expanding its focus from primarily public education to include critical policy and regulatory advocacy.
